Country Club House Kitchen Equipment & MEP Coordination

Overview

The Country Club House project in North Carolina involved developing a modern clubhouse designed to support premium dining, social, and member - experience services. As part of the facility development, the project required a highly efficient, compliant, and operationally seamless commercial kitchen. eLogicTech was engaged to deliver end-to-end Kitchen Equipment Design, Electrical Connection Modeling, and Plumbing Connection Modeling, ensuring the kitchen became a reliable backbone for food service operations. Project scale included a 20,000 sq. ft area, executed within 3 weeks using a focused team of one mechanical engineer and one electrical engineer.

Client Challenge

The client needed a complete kitchen ecosystem designed and modeled to work flawlessly within an already established building layout. The kitchen environment had:

  • Limited back-of-house space
  • Existing infrastructure routes that could not be altered
  • Strict maintenance, safety, and state compliance requirements
  • High demand for operational efficiency during peak service cycles

Scope of Work

eLogicTech delivered an integrated BIM-based solution that covered:

  • Kitchen Equipment Layout Design
  • Electrical Connection Modeling

The objective was to create a fully coordinated kitchen model that minimized clashes, improved operational flow, and ensured seamless equipment installation.

Approach & Tools Used

1. Data Collection & Validation

The team began by validating all equipment specifications, verifying load requirements, and assessing the building’s existing service infrastructure. This stage ensured all modeling decisions aligned with actual site conditions.

2. BIM Modeling & Coordination

Using industry-standard tools (Revit + Navisworks workflows), the team generated coordinated models for:

  • Kitchen equipment placement
  • Electrical power points
  • Plumbing supply and drainage connections
  • Clearances, access zones, and safety requirements

Clash detection routines helped identify and resolve conflicts early.

3. Quality Assurance

A structured QA cycle validated:

  • Compliance with local codes and manufacturer requirements
  • Safe working clearances
  • Maintenance access zones
  • Alignment with existing building shafts and service lines

Key Challenges & Solutions

Challenge 1: Limited Utility Space in Back-of-House

Solution:

The team optimized sequencing, rearranged equipment for ergonomic flow, and used vertical routing to prevent utility congestion while maintaining service accessibility.

Challenge 2: Fixed Infrastructure Constraints

Solution:

All electrical and plumbing connection points were modeled in alignment with existing shafts and supply lines, eliminating the need for expensive rerouting during installation.

Challenge 3: Maintenance & Safety Compliance

Solution:

Emergency shut-offs, ventilation clearances, and safe working zones were integrated into the model, ensuring the kitchen met all required codes and provided ease of maintenance.

Results & Impact

Through precise modeling and cross-discipline coordination, eLogicTech delivered:

  • A streamlined, code-compliant kitchen equipment layout
  • Fully coordinated electrical and plumbing connection drawings
  • Zero major clashesdue to early detection and resolution
  • Improved staff efficiency with optimized equipment flows
  • Smooth, delay-free installationsupported by highly accurate

The final deliverables helped the clubhouse launch its kitchen operations with confidence, efficiency, and long-term maintainability.
