Photometric Lighting Analysis with AGI 32

eLogicTech provides comprehensive photometric lighting analysis services that help architects, engineers, and contractors validate lighting designs with confidence. Leveraging AGi32, the industry-leading lighting simulation software, our experts perform detailed analyses of illuminance levels, uniformity ratios, glare indices, and other critical lighting metrics to ensure optimal performance.

Our services include IES-based luminaire modelling, BIM-integrated photometric analysis, lighting performance validation, and energy code compliance assessments, enabling clients to identify and resolve design issues before construction. By incorporating photometric data directly into BIM models, we support accurate coordination, streamlined plan reviews, and informed design decisions.

As part of eLogicTech's BIM consulting services, we also provide fixture layout optimization, energy efficiency recommendations, and design improvement strategies to enhance lighting quality while reducing energy consumption and project costs. With a focus on accuracy, compliance, and performance, eLogicTech delivers reliable lighting analysis solutions for projects across the USA and globally.

Benefits of eLogicTech's

Photometric Lighting Analysis Service

Point-by-Point Illuminance, Not Fixture-Library Guesses

We run full photometric calculations in AGI 32 using manufacturer IES files, so every fixture reflects real measured output instead of a default placeholder.

Photometric Data Built Into Every Revit Family

We correct fixture families to carry verified photometric parameters, so downstream energy modeling and daylighting studies inherit real data instead of assumptions.

Reports Built to Clear Review on the First Pass

Our calculation reports isolate the exact rooms, zones, and fixtures that need action, so reviewers and coordination teams aren't left decoding raw output.

eLogicTech's Range of Photometric Lighting Analysis Services

Photometric Lighting Analysis is a specialized offering within our BIM MEP services, designed to ensure lighting systems meet both performance expectations and regulatory requirements. Backed by a skilled team of lighting analysts, we assess illuminance levels, uniformity, glare, and overall lighting quality against internationally recognized standards. Based on our analysis, we recommend design refinements that enhance visual comfort, energy efficiency, and code compliance.

Our photometric lighting analysis services include, but are not limited to:

  • IES-based point-by-point illuminance and uniformity calculations
  • Glare assessment and daylighting analysis for both interior and exterior environments
  • Revit lighting family validation and correction using verified photometric data, coordinated with our Electrical Design and Drafting team
  • Reflected Ceiling Plan (RCP) and lighting layout coordination, validated through BIM Clash Detection
  • Exterior lighting studies for sites, roadways, landscapes, and parking areas
  • Independent third-party verification through our BIM Model Auditing service

FAQ's

Revit renders lighting for visualization. AGI 32 calculates it — point-by-point illuminance, uniformity ratios, and glare based on real IES photometric data. Renderings can look correct and still fail a foot-candle measurement on site; calculated data doesn't have that gap.

Either works. If your fixture schedule is finalized, send the manufacturer IES files and we calculate against them. If it isn't, we can recommend fixtures and pull IES data as part of the analysis.

We evaluate lighting designs against applicable ANSI/ASHRAE/IES Standard 90.1, IECC, California Title 24 (where applicable), local energy codes, and IES lighting standards.

3 to 7 business days depending on project size and how many revision cycles the design is still going through.

Both. We regularly review completed lighting layouts and fixture schedules to catch compliance or coordination gaps before a resubmittal.
