Longfellow Elementary School is a public school located in San Francisco, CA. The building consists of two seismically separate structures which include the three-story classroom building and a two-story multipurpose auditorium.
eLogicTech was involved in developing the structural BIM model from the PDFs. The construction technology used was steel and concrete. The approx. area of the building was about 54,400-Sqft. Modeling the roof of the circular auditorium structure which was made of folded reinforced concrete slab in a radial arrangement was a challenge. The buildings were of reinforced concrete construction with ribbed floor, roof slabs and shear walls on spread footing which made the task very challenging.
