Levelit changes the 'z'-co ordinates to zero, thereby
getting all the objects to one plane. This makes it useful
for Architects/Draftsmen who work exclusively on 2-Dimensional
drawings. The user has the option to ignore elements that
are not to be included in the program.
Working
Levelit works with the latest versions of AutoCAD (2000
and above). After Levelit (with AutoCAD) is installed,
an icon is displayed. The program runs when the icon is
clicked or if 'LEVELIT' is typed at command line.
A menu pops up showing the elements to be ignored are
displayed. Depending upon the requirement, the elements
may be selected. By default all the elements are selected.
The program is executed upon clicking the RUN tab.
Limitations
The plug-in does not work for the elements inside a block.
It can change the 'z'-axis of the blocks to zero, but
the elements inside the block have to be edited. Once
the program is re-run in the block editor, it can get
all the elements to zero 'z'-axis.
